Attik! NOISE FIVE LAUNCH!

Attik Launched their Noise Five book yesterday! I was at the Press Launch Party, where I saw those who created this fantastic book! From 8pm, questions were asked about the book and the process and production, and DAMN they went through a lot!! It is unbelievable how much effort it has taken to finally get the book out here! 

Each of these books are Unique because of the printing. There are 250 pages on 9 unique paper stocks. This self-published book is only limited to make 3000 copies of which they will keep 2000. In addition to the concept creative designs in this book, it also tells the entire story of Attik!

Attik!

The company Attik had come down to University today. Their talk was great. The work shown was superb! I used to wonder who created the designs for Coca Cola and the advert of Coke Zero and now I know, it was ATTIK! 

They talked about how the company first started and how they have developed. They showed various pieces of work from Coca Cola, Baileys, Scion, Camel, Nikewomen, AIM, 30th St Mary Exa and many others. The final thing their spoke about was the Noise FIVE book that is to be launched on Thursday 26th March 2009, which I will be attending! :D

The talk was really helpful, as they spoke about placements and how to get the placements. This helped a lot as I am currently looking for placement. 

Smashin'

This is a close up picture of my laptop screen. I had a little accident, where my laptop went rolling down the staircase. When I turned on my laptop the screen was shattered :(

But when looking at the screen, I saw loads of textures so picked up my camera and started taking pictures. 

  

Maybe I could use them sometime. 

Development of Concept Art

These are the developed final pieces for the concept art design:



This design symbolizes the scene from the film where the city is on fire because of the Triffids.
To create this, I used a couple of images that I took at New York last year and blended them together to create the city. To get the fire effect on the city, I adjusted various colour balances, hues and saturation to get the fire right.

This designs symbolizes the scene where the triffids attack the fence and some get caught on fire. 

This was one of my old final designs which I developed the perspective of the triffids. This design shows the triffids escaping from the greenhouse.

This design shows a triffid on top of New York's Central Station after burning the central station.

Final Pieces for PJ Smoothie

These are my Final designs for the D&AD project.

This idea was the first one that came into my head when reading the brief.

This idea has been developed further from the scary selection I designed for the PJ Smoothies. However, I have simplified it a lot.

This was a mixture of a few of my designs. I kept the 'Feel the Love' slogan as it is attractive but also included several bottles if PJ Smoothies.



This is the advertisement board I designed for my first design. The advertisement does work however, I think it still isn't right.

Aiming to design another one for this.

Designs for Nebulas'

By looking at some Nebula's I decided to start creating my own. 

Here are two images that I have scanned in. To create these I used inks along with white acrylic ink and also different coloured glitter. 

I selected areas from the scans above and in Photoshop created these Nebulas'. 

I took the first nebula design, and went through the star constellations to see which one would fit best with this design. I chose Sagittarius. 

My next step would be to create a creature from the nebula.
